Temperature Transmitters
Transmitters convert the sensor output to a standard industrial (4 to 20) mA transmission signal.
The temperature range can be set by simulating a temperature at the low and high end of scale required, and pushing the button to output 4mA at the low end, and 20 mA at the high end. The advantage of this method is that you do not need to connect the product to a computer to carry out this function.
Alternatively, transmitters are available with USB interface to easily programme the sensor type, range and error signal using a laptop or PC. The user adjust function can be locked during configuration if not required. The state LED indicates out of range input during normal operation.

The instrument offers an advanced display mode allowing the user to also display one or two (1 to 32) character messages. Additional to the messages, the user may select an alert event to occur when the temperature is within a band. The change-over relay can be used together with the messaging and alert to provide switching at user-set switch points. In addition to this, onboard data logging is also available to record process details at up to 5000 points.
Status SEM203P
Manual range configuration, suitable for Pt100 sensors
Suitable for Pt100 sensors
Push-button configuration
LED over-range indication
Push-button sensor matching
vibration tested
EAC approved
The SEM203P is a push-button configurable in-head transmitter that accepts PT100 temperature sensors and converts sensor output over a configured range to a standard industrial (4 to 20) mA transmission signal.
A simple push-button operation allows the user to not only select the desired range and burnout direction but also perform user trim at both (4 and 20) mA points. If required, the desired range can be specified at the time of order, removing the need for user configuration.
The pt100 transmitter can be ordered with any of our temperature probes and connection heads. We can supply temperature probe assemblies with the temperature transmitter included.

- Maths Functions Between Inputs
- SIL 2 Hardware Safety Integrity
The SEM310 HART (generic device) temperature transmitter is a universal device that accepts most commonly used Pt100, thermocouple, mV, potentiometer sensors and generates an industry-standard (4 to 20) mA transmission signal. Compatible to HART 5, 6, or 7 the product can be easily programmed using our free USB Speedlink software and a standard USB lead (safe area version). It can also be programmed via a HART communication device/system.
Isolation is a standard feature to overcome any potential ground loop effects and a sensor referencing facility enables the transmitter to be calibrated to a particular sensor.
This HART temperature transmitter has two inputs. This allows the connection of two sensors. Maths functions such as difference, average, highest, lowest, sensor redundancy (TC and mV only) are available. The math function of both inputs is then reflected in the 4 to 20mA output.
